We willhave to make various assumptions to respond and a tax expert is more qualified. Any money invested is considered capital. If your are a corporation it would be part of stockholders equity and cash. When you say I will be receiving I must assume you mean your corporation/LLC or some entity. There will be no initial consequences for the investment if thy. To the exten other transactions are made such as if you sell stock to the investor there could be a capital gain/loss so you really need more information to get a better answer.. If the corporation is selling stock then it won’t affect you iin the same manner as if you sell stock.
