Excellent question. The answer depends on the complication of the site on day one, year one and year five. There are excellent small, medium and large shops available in the states…and that’s where I’d stay. Going international bring up two major issues. First an in my mind themes important is communication. Everyone I’ve know who gone overseas had had a major communications issue. When English is not the fist language it’s tuff. Plus the American culture is very different and you need a person/company who can think like you culturally.

A site depending on your needs can be as little as $1,000 for a basic information site. to $100,000 fir a very complex e-commerce site with many variations in between based on the functionality that you need.

You need to think about what CMS (content management system) the site is built on too. A CMS allows you to update and change information, photos and even functionality to a degree on your own. The top three CMSs used today are; Drupal used for more complex site, Joomla used for complex and simpler sites and WordPress which is used by many smaller sites. Any of these can be used for easy to complex sites as long as you developers are good.

When you start planning you want to think startup through year five so that you choose the platform that we allow your site to grow without having to throw away what you done in the earlier years.

I’ve attached a questionnaire we use in determining the needs of a potential client. It asks basic question as to best determine what type of site and functionality will be needed. Based on these questions and other that arise from the answers, we put an estimate together.

To use there are two parts to a website. The marketing/creative direction and the development needs. From my experience, Your $20K, depending on your creative and functionality needs should be more than you need. With that said, if you have unusually functionality that requires a lot of custom programming…the cost could easily go higher. But if you need are more on the normal side, most of the functionality is available in the CMS platforms I mentioned and just need to be customized to your needs.

The role will depend on the size of the Company. Typically Human Resources handles recruitment, termination,vacation, disability and holidays. In some businesses fringe benefits like health insurance and retirement will be handled. In smaller companies the breadth of Human Resources may include payroll.

Barrier is a tricky word. Certain employees are hired for professional and specific roles. Some must have certain degrees for a job. The employer though is typically held to the standard that the employee will require some training for some jobs. If the employee does not understand the technical jargon you may need to teach the employee. A lot depends of what role the employee was hired, whether certain degrees or training was required of the employee prior to being hired. What type of company do you have? Are you a technology company or a manufacturer? These too can effect your requirements. Generally train the employee enough so they can understand the jargon depending on what role the employee was hired. As to barrier of the employee, the employee will not get much out of listening to a speaker if he or she doesn’t understand what the Speaker is stating.

i have to wonder if this was a job related injury. According to what you said, you were not working at the time in any capacity. You had left the job site already. You were driving a car on the public road. Correct? If so, where you were driving to and from seems to be irrelevant. The police may have just been asking in order to get the entire story. You also did not say who’s fault the car accident was according to the legal entities. However, it seem in no way to be the fault of your employer.

I am sorry that you got hurt no matter what and I hope that you are doing much better soon.

You also did not say who’s fault the car accident was according to the legal entities. However, it seem in no way to be the fault of your employer.

I believe you may have a typo. You are stating the amount of the deposit and then asking the amount of deposit. I am guessing that you mean the deposit is 10 percent not $10.00 and you want to know the amount of deposit. If I am incorrect then please let me know and I can adjust the answer. 10% of $2450 is $245.00 ($2450 x .10 (10 percent as a decimal) = $245.00)

If you are injured on the job then you will be subject to workers compensation law. Workers compensation was negotiated by businesses and workers I believe over 100 years ago to avoid employers from being involved in personal injury and similar lawsuits and to allow the worker to have access to the legal system. Based upon the injury you receive an award typically lower then if you filed a personal injury claim.Workers Compensation law is based upon the State you reside. Your question involves other issues.. Paid in cash doesn’t mean you weren’t an employee subject to workers compensation law as long as you can established you were working the job. You do not indicate if the employer had workers compensation insurance or not. If the employer did not have workers compensation insurance then in California the Department of Industrial Relations would fine the employer typically $5000 per unisured employee.. You still have rigths depnding on when the injury occurred

You are asking multiple questions. As to earned money that money is a term of art but I believe you mean income after expenses. As a sole proprietor all of your sales and expenses resulting in income will be on Schedule C if you are a US citizen. You will pay a self employment tax and income tax on those monies to the IRS and your State if your State has an income tax. The rest of the moeny is your personal money after taxes. Regarding your second question. When you operate your sole proprietorship you typically have a business bank account. The sales from the business should go in that account. The employees will be paid from your business account. You are required to pay payroll taxes to the respective entity. In California the Employment Development department which handles unemployment receives a percentage of the employees salary directly from the employer. Social Security is paid via the IRS. Typically State disability is paid depending upon your State. Your employee will receive a paycheck showing the deductions for all these items. Depending upon the income you may be required to remit payroll taxes quarterly or even per pay period. You would be smart to use a service company such as ADP (the largeest payroll processing company in the US). In the even payroll taxes are inaccurate or not paid you will be personally liable.
