A bonus is an extra benefit to reward others. The best thing about a bonus is its a one time increase. You don’t have to give a bonus next time unless your business adopts a bonus plan. When I worked for a publicly traded company they wanted management working together so they implemented a bonus plan based upon yearly improvement in earnings. If you were a manager then you received a bonus based upon the earnings increase. If the company’s earnings increased 14% then every manager received a 14% bonus in that year. If you don’t have a formal bonus plan-then you can reward others based upon what you believe. If you work with the person yearly they may expect the same or higher bonus each year.
